New Wildlife Area attracts visitors and new residents!
The new Wildlife Area created this year is attracting a number of insects, birds and mammals. Volunteers are keeping an unofficial record of all the animals, birds and insects that have been seen so far.
Butterflies and Moths:

Butterflies:
Small Tortoiseshell, Meadow Brown, Hedge Brown (Gatekeeper), Small Skipper, Speckled Wood, Small White, Green-Veined White, Large White, Small Copper, Comma, Orange Tip and Holly Blue.
Moths:
Large Yellow Underwings Cinnabar Moth larvae
Insects and Invertebrates:

Pond Skater
Birds

Blackbird, Song Thrush, Starling, Wood Pigeon, House Sparrow, Robin, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Bullfinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Collared Dove, Jackdaw, Sparrow Hawk, Swift Peregrine (overflying),
Animals:
Fox, Rat and Hedgehog.
